Intuit is seeking a Senior Payroll Tax Processor to resolve payroll tax notices, corrections, amendments, and Pay & File issues with accuracy and speed. The role emphasizes mentoring colleagues and growing technical depth within a high-volume workflow.

You will work with PTO processes, leveraging Salesforce and payroll platforms, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The position offers over‑time eligible, hourly commitments with flexible scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years in payroll tax with focus on notices, amended returns, and error correction.
• Experience reading and resolving IRS/state notices and deposits.
• Ability to prepare Federal (941-X, W-2c) and State returns across multiple states.
• Knowledge of FICA, FUTA, FITW and payroll tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-cycle payroll tax case work including audits and filings.
• Independently resolve complex state and federal payroll tax notices.
• Prepare agency responses with documentation within deadlines.
• Prepare amended payroll tax returns (941-X, state equivalents).
• Support correction workflows and document audit trails.
• Manage personal WIP queue and SLA-driven prioritization.
• Identify process improvements from data and agency notices.
