Qualifications

5+ years of FHA/VA residential mortgage underwriting experience.
Experience with Encompass is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with FNMA/FHLMC guidelines and FHA requirements.
Strong analytical, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

Analyze loan files based on program and product specifications.
Review and analyze credit reports, income documents, appraisal reports, and other relevant information to make sound underwriting decisions.
Maintain or exceed production and quality requirements on a monthly basis.
Maintain expert knowledge of corporate, investor, and regulatory guidelines.
Ensure compliance with all company, federal, and state guidelines and lending regulations.
Effectively communicate credit decisions and document needs throughout all individuals involved.
Maintain and record all credit risk activities.
