Job summary

Acrisure Mortgage in Orlando, FL is seeking experienced Mortgage Loan Underwriters to assess loan files against program and product specifications before funding and to communicate credit decisions to the operations team.

Candidates should have 5+ years of FHA/VA underwriting, strong Encompass experience, and familiarity with builder partnerships, along with excellent analytical and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of current, stable experience underwriting FHA and VA residential mortgage loans.
• Encompass experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with a new home builder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze loan files based on program and product specifications
• Review and analyze credit reports, income documents, appraisal reports, and other relevant information to make sound underwriting decisions
• Maintain or exceed production and quality requirements on a monthly basis
• Maintain expert knowledge of corporate, investor, and regulatory guidelines
• Ensure compliance with all company, federal, and state guidelines and lending regulations
• Effectively communicate credit decisions and document needs throughout all individuals involved
• Maintain and record all credit risk activities
