Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Staff Remote Maintenance Engineer to lead ARC Remote Maintenance System design and operations. You will guide cross‑functional teams, shape maintenance processes, and advance novel remote handling solutions for a fusion power plant.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in mechanical design of complex systems, remote handling robotics, and strong CAD/FEA skills, with a safety‑minded, collaborative approach to multidisciplinary work.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Structural/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering required.
• At least 10 years of mechanical engineering experience with complex structures.
• At least 10 years designing remote handling equipment using robotics.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of ARC Remote Maintenance System operations.
• Provide expert technical guidance for cross‑functional teams.
• Design radiation hardened RHE and robot systems for remote maintenance.
