Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is hiring a Litigation Specialist for a remote role, handling complex auto and homeowners claims across the United States. You will shape defense strategy, oversee budgets for outside counsel, and lead negotiations with parties while collaborating with internal teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in business/insurance or related field, strong claims experience, and willingness to travel for meetings. A remote-first environment supports Home-Flex work patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or risk management, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• High school diploma required.
• Proven experience handling insurance claims.
• Bilingual is a plus.
• Proficiency in handling minor, moderate, and sophisticated litigated claims.
• Extensive understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements and proficiency in standards of civil procedure.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex litigated claims involving auto/homeowners matters.
• Shape claim strategy with defense counsel and negotiations.
• Complete analysis of claim facts and loss factors.
• Create a discovery plan including depositions and IMEs.
• Review liability, damages, and coverage to assess for settlement options.
• Collaborate with defense counsel for negotiation strategy and mediations.
• Authorize and monitor budget for outside counsel; review defense expenses.
• Prepare and present case recommendations for IELT leadership.
• Travel for enterprise, divisional and team meetings as needed.
• Support cross-functional projects and team collaboration.
