Kaplan is hiring a Senior Manager, GEO Strategy & AI Search Activation to lead GEO and AI search initiatives for higher education clients and Kaplan products. You will balance hands-on execution with publisher outreach while guiding cross‑functional teams to improve visibility in LLMs and AI models such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude.

This remote nationwide role requires coordinating with Marketing, Product, Legal, Editorial, and Web teams to drive data‑driven outcomes, audits, and content

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, CS, or related field.
• 6+ years managing organic search, digital outreach, or content marketing across multi-website portfolios; 1+ year in GEO/AI search strategy.
• GEO & AI search mastery: familiarity with LLM retrieval, RAG concepts, and entity-based SEO.
• Foundational SEO and content strategy: keyword research, metadata, on-page optimization, content marketing best practices.
• Proficient with enterprise search and AI tracking platforms: Profound, Ahrefs, SEMrush, GSC, GA4, Looker Studio.
• Strategic outreach: securing brand mentions and high-authority citations across industry publications.
• Strong communication and problem-solving; ability to translate AI concepts to business priorities.

Responsabilités

• Execute GEO and off-page search strategies to position Kaplan brands as trusted sources in AI models.
• Build programmatic GEO authority across core academic and professional verticals.
• Manage tiered publisher engagement and outreach to publications and education portals.
• Audit sentiment and correct inaccuracies on third-party sites to improve brand positioning in search results.
• Analyze AI performance metrics and report visibility, sentiment, and citation share.
• Incorporate SEO and content marketing best practices into GEO initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Collaborate with Content Marketing to optimize pages for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and SME insights.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across SEO, Product Marketing, Legal, Editorial, and Web teams.
• Leverage AI tools and workflows to accelerate discovery, sentiment analysis, and reporting with human oversight.
