Zusammenfassung

Ent is hiring a Senior Endpoint Engineer to own its data protection layer on devices, classifying sensitive data and enforcing policies at egress. You will work with Windows minifilters, macOS ENF, Linux ETW, and browser hooks, integrating an on-device LLM for accurate enforcement.

You will design data lineage, support incident investigations, and balance performance with security across North America. Remote-friendly, impact-driven role for enterprise-scale security.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years shipping production systems software in C/C++.
• Direct experience building or operating an endpoint for insider-risk or data-security products.
• Strong OS internals knowledge on at least one platform.
• Hands-on content inspection and data classification work.
• Experience controlling device and network egress channels.
• Multi-threaded, performance-sensitive engineering.
• Strong debugging and profiling on real user machines.
• Clear written and verbal communication with distributed teams.

Aufgaben

• Build the endpoint data-protection layer and classify sensitive data on the device.
• Control exfiltration channels including USB, printing, clipboard, emails, and AI tools.
• Implement on-device content inspection and classification methods.
• Integrate on-device LLM into classification decisions.
• Build data lineage and provenance tracking for content.
• Develop interception plumbing using Windows minifilters, ETW, macOS Endpoint Security, Linux fanotify, and browser hooks.
• Drive precision metrics: labeled corpora, false positives/negatives, and tuning.
• Keep inspection costs invisible to users, avoid blocking legitimate workflows.
• Produce forensic evidence for investigations and regulatory reporting.
• Own escalations on missed egress paths and compatibility conflicts.
