Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Security Engineer based in the United States to build secure, automated cloud environments for mission-critical programs. You will own the security dimension of DevSecOps pipelines operating under a continuous Authorization to Operate (cATO) model.

You’ll mentor engineers, set technical standards for secure AWS and container environments, and collaborate with development teams to embed security into automated workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in security; a related bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Hands-on DevSecOps security in a continuous ATO (cATO) environment with automated gates and evidence.
• Strong experience automating compliance workflows and continuous monitoring reporting.
• Practical knowledge of AWS security services and GovCloud tools (Security Hub, Inspector, GuardDuty, Config).
• Proficient in Terraform and/or CloudFormation for IaC security.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53/800-171 and FedRAMP concepts.
• Strong Python/Bash scripting and Linux/Unix administration skills.
• Active Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification.
• Experience with security product development or analytics platforms (Databricks a plus).
• Excellent communicator, mentors others and drives technical consensus.
• Citizenship requirement: U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Architect and automate security workflows across CI/CD and compliance operations.
• Integrate and monitor security tooling within automated pipelines and reporting.
• Develop automated compliance artifacts and evidence mapped to standards.
• Automate inventory reconciliation and configuration drift detection across cloud accounts.
• Establish security standards for AWS Cloud and container environments.
• Support IaC security by scanning Terraform and CloudFormation configurations.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate security automation and reporting.
• Collaborate with teams to resolve security and performance challenges.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and promote best practices.
• Lead creation and maintenance of technical documentation and standards.
