Job summary

The City of Delray Beach is seeking an advanced IT security administrator to oversee the security of its Windows server, desktop, and cloud environments. The role emphasizes incident investigation, patching, and posture improvement under the Information Security Manager.

Responsibilities include managing Office 365, Azure, Entra ID, AD and GPO configurations, plus vulnerability remediation and on-call coverage. Strong documentation and ITIL/ITSM alignment are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT security or security operations preferred.
• Experience with Windows server and desktop security.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD and group policy.
• Familiarity with EDR/XDR/MDR tools and incident response.
• Ability to document, communicate, and follow ITIL/ITSM processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer security of Windows servers and desktops.
• Support Office 365, Azure, Entra ID, AD, and GPO configurations.
• Patch and maintain servers/endpoints with change controls.
• Manage certificates and rollback before updates.
• Support security products and investigate compromised endpoints.
• Provide desktop support and escalate security tickets.
• Maintain system documentation and asset inventory.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours tasks.
