Job summary

The City of Delray Beach seeks an experienced Technical Support Analyst to manage day-to-day installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of department-issued hardware, software, and peripherals within a public safety technology environment.

You will support RTCC and 911 CAD Dispatch Center, ensure CJIS security compliance, and operate under strict state and federal guidelines while coordinating with police IT staff in a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of three years of experience with computers and LAN environments or five years in Desktop Management.
• Public Safety experience is preferred but not required.
• CJIS Security Awareness Certification within required timeframe; background check and FDLE access certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide tier-level technical assistance for agency-issued endpoints to ensure maximum uptime for RTCC and 911 Dispatch Center.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot CAD, RMS, MDT, and Fleet camera systems used by public safety operations.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and software licensing per CJIS security protocols.
• Deploy and maintain hardware including in-car MDCs, cameras, printers, and VOIP phones; support training and ITIL/ITSM practices.
