Job summary

Cotiviti is seeking an experienced healthcare auditor to review outpatient and specialty claims, focusing on coding accuracy, medical necessity, and appropriate care settings. You will work with CPT/HCPCS and DRG concepts, applying client guidelines to identify issues and maximize recoveries.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in clinical coding/auditing, RHIA/RHIT, and CPC/CIC/CCS certifications. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Health Information Management or equivalent.
• CPC, CIC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIA or RHIT certifications required.
• 5–7 years of clinical coding/auditing experience with HIPAA and CMS rules.

Responsibilities

• Audit outpatient and specialty claims including APC, DRG and professional services.
• Utilize Cotiviti encoder and audit tools; enter claims accurately.
• Meet quality standards and project productivity goals.
• Identify new claim types and suggest process improvements.
