The position offers remote work across the United States, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, governance, and cross‑functional impact. A senior level candidate with 10+ years in P&C capital modeling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years of related experience in P&C insurance economic capital modeling or related quantitative insurance modeling.
• Proven ability to design or build stochastic insurance models, not just operate existing ones.
• Strong understanding of Monte Carlo simulation, VaR/TVaR, dependency modeling, diversification, and capital attribution.
• Experience incorporating catastrophe-model output into economic capital models.
• Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to nontechnical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal economic capital modeling capabilities using CSAA’s ReMetrica-based model.
• Design and build stochastic models integrating underwriting, reserve, catastrophe, investment, credit, and other risks.
• Collaborate with ERM, Actuarial, Reinsurance, Investments, Product Management, catastrophe modeling, and FP&A.
• Support governance, model validation, and ORSA/rating agency discussions.
• Translate economic capital results into actionable business insights.
