Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group in California is seeking a Senior Workers' Compensation Adjuster for a fully remote role. You will manage moderate to complex, high-value claims with minimal supervision, applying advanced investigation and negotiation skills to resolve disputes and support litigation where needed.

You will collaborate with legal counsel, underwriters, vendors, and agents, set reserves, authorize payments, and ensure regulatory compliance while mentoring junior staff and driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5–10+ years of workers compensation claims handling with an insurer.
• Must possess or obtain and maintain state adjuster licenses.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage moderate to complex, high-value casualty claims with minimal supervision.
• Identify subrogation opportunities and negotiate for favorable outcomes.
• Ensure regulatory and company standards are met; maintain detailed claim records and reports.
