Job summary

Silfex is seeking a Supplier Development Reliability Engineer to drive equipment and process reliability improvements. The role partners with internal teams and suppliers to design, develop, and implement next‑generation tooling, automation and manufacturing strategies to boost uptime and performance.

The candidate will lead machine development cycles, conduct root cause analyses, and balance innovation with practical manufacturing constraints.

Qualifications

• Experience applying FMEA, PFMEA, DFMEA to reduce risk and improve safety, quality, and cost.
• Ability to design, improve and support reliability strategies for equipment and processes.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional projects in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Use reliability tools to identify and reduce risk before issues impact safety, quality, delivery, or cost.
• Develop reliability strategies for critical equipment and processes and oversee maintenance activities.
• Lead root cause analysis on repeat failures and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with suppliers, machinists, and engineers to improve uptime and performance.
• Coordinate development activities with suppliers and internal teams to meet Silfex requirements.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally as needed.
