Job summary

Silfex, Inc. seeks an experienced CNC/Automation specialist to optimize silicon- and brittle-material machining processes. You will lead technical initiatives, troubleshoot complex CNC and automation issues, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting and sustained performance, with collaboration across maintenance, controls, and engineering to meet dimensional and throughput requirements.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or high school diploma required.
• 6+ years of progressive CNC experience in a production environment.
• Experience with silicon, glass, ceramics, or brittle materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for CNC machining and automation within assigned value streams.
• Troubleshoot machining and automation issues and stabilize existing CNC processes.
• Lead root-cause analysis for machining defects, equipment downtime, automation faults, scrap, and yield losses.
• Support development, review, and maintenance of FMEAs, control plans, standard work, and automation safeguards for CNC operations.
• Collaborate with maintenance, manufacturing, controls, and engineering teams to address recurring equipment and process issues.
