Job summary

BairesDev is hiring a Reliability Engineer to ensure high availability and performance of production systems. You will guard system health, balance rapid innovation with stable, resilient infrastructure, and drive reliability improvements across complex environments.

The role emphasizes SLO/SLI management, incident leadership, and hands-on scripting with Python or Go, in a 100% remote, USD-compensated setup. You will join a global, Top 1% talent team.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in managing production reliability, SLOs/SLIs, and error budgets.
• Strong proficiency in Linux systems administration and scripting with Python or Go.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Demonstrated ability in incident management and at-scale operations.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Establish and monitor reliability metrics (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets) to drive data-informed decisions.
• Build and maintain observability frameworks for deep visibility of system health.
• Orchestrate the incident lifecycle from detection to resolution with minimal business impact.
• Lead blameless post-mortems and root cause analyses to prevent recurrences.
• Automate repetitive tasks and toil with scripting and Infrastructure as Code.
• Conduct capacity planning and assessments to ensure scalable infrastructure.
