Job summary

Form Energy is hiring a Senior Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability and lifetime of iron‑air packs and deployed systems. You will lead reliability test development for the Battery Management System hardware, defining how to demonstrate reliability for a first‑of‑its‑kind product with no playbook.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Reliability Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of industry experience.
• Experience developing tests to evaluate performance/reliability of electrical/electromechanical systems.
• Experience with testing PCBs and electronic components.
• Familiar with accelerated lifetime tests across operating conditions.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary authority on Design for Reliability (DfR) for critical subsystems.
• Translate product goals into reliability requirements and roadmap for BMS lifetimes.
• Design and lead complex tests to uncover failure mechanisms and root causes.
• Establish methods to accelerate failure rates in tests focusing on BMS electronics.
• Be a champion for safety.
