Job summary

Ampere Computing is seeking a Sr. Principal Reliability Engineer to own product reliability for high‑power CPUs. You will define, drive, and implement reliability strategies from definition through post‑silicon validation.

The role requires 12+ years in semiconductor reliability, expertise in burn-in and HTOL, and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams, analyze data, and influence design and manufacturing partners. Hybrid work model.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required; Master’s/Ph.D. preferred.
  • 12+ years of semiconductor reliability engineering experience; burn-in and HTOL expertise essential.
  • Experience with semiconductor manufacturing, test and debug processes.
  • Data-driven decision making with cross-functional leadership.
  • Strong communication and collaboration across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead reliability authority across engineering disciplines from definition to post-silicon validation.
  • Architect and implement reliability qualification plans for burn-in and HTOL; coordinate with vendors for burn-in hardware.
  • Lead stress experiments, manage timelines and resources for qualification and ramp.
  • Partner with DFT and ATE teams to integrate reliability features and test patterns.
  • Perform advanced statistical analysis of reliability data and validate silicon results with models.
  • Drive continuous improvement and inform post-silicon validation strategies.
  • Liaise with Assembly and Manufacturing Test to address customer requirements and resolve issues.
