Torc Robotics is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead simulation-based testing for autonomous trucks. You will define test strategies, drive architecture decisions, and mentor engineers while coordinating across verification, model delivery, and autonomy teams.

The role emphasizes developing robust test scenarios, V&V tooling, and test infrastructure, with accountability for testing progress and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS/CE/Robotics/Systems Eng + 10+ years experience.
• Master's degree + 7+ years experience.
• PhD + 5+ years experience.
• Strong SDLC understanding and independent judgment.

Responsibilities

• Define, build, and support virtual testing for autonomous trucks.
• Own architecture decisions for simulation-based testing environments.
• Mentor engineers and drive alignment across teams.
• Lead verification, model delivery, and autonomy consumer teams.
• Develop and execute simulation-based test scenarios and post-test analysis.
• Identify requirements for new testing tools and infrastructure.
• Communicate testing progress and risks to management.
