Job summary

EDG Inc. in New Orleans is seeking a Sr. Relay and Protection Field Supervisor to lead field activities during substation construction, transmission line projects, and commissioning through closeout.

Reporting to the Utility Construction Manager, you will coordinate safety, schedules, outages, QA/QC, and environmental requirements while guiding contractors and field teams to meet project goals. Candidates should have 10+ years of electric utility transmission and distribution experience and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or the equivalent.
• Ten (10) + years of experience in Electric Utility Transmission & Distribution.
• Must be knowledgeable and able to interpret OSHA regulations and provide guidance to construction crews and upper management on the proper application of these regulations in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Participate on project teams to assist others in the development of project scope, project cost estimate, project schedule.
• Participate on site field / scope visits.
• Ensure all Relay Protection & Control, SCADA (RTU) & Communication Systems are installed and commissioned in Safe and Efficient Manner.
• Assist others in developing schedule including critical paths.
• Assist others in developing detailed construction plans and identify outage requirements to implement new facilities.
