Job summary

Moody's seeks a seasoned AVP to guide U.S. regulatory analysis, support external stakeholder engagement, and advance Moody's Government, Public and Regulatory Affairs strategy.

You will coordinate analysts, prepare briefing materials, and translate complex regulation into actionable insights across credit, capital markets, and risk domains. You will collaborate with global teams, regulators, and industry groups, leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency while maintaining strong ethics and risk

Qualifications

• 5–9 years of experience analyzing U.S. public policy and regulatory developments within financial services or related fields.
• Strong understanding of U.S. government institutions, regulatory processes, and policymaking dynamics.
• Experience with regulatory/public policy analysis, strategy, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for senior leadership and diverse groups.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency with AI concepts and using AI tools to improve workflows and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Guide analysts in tracking regulatory developments and prepare briefings for Moody's business teams.
• Present clear briefings and position papers to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Assess business implications of regulation and translate texts into actionable analysis.
• Foster relationships with regulators, policymakers, and industry groups; participate in external events.
• Prepare materials and talking points for meetings with government officials.
• Coordinate adoption of stakeholder engagement tech, track engagement metrics for efficiency.
• Collaborate with global GPRA and other teams to align regulatory positions with strategy.
• Gather input from Legal, Compliance, Risk, and business lines to ensure alignment.
