Job summary

The Regulatory Analyst III (Workers’ Compensation Investigator) with the State of Florida is responsible for conducting on-site inspections to ensure employer compliance with workers’ compensation requirements. The role involves interviewing workers, reviewing records, and applying statutory provisions to issue enforcement actions as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires 4 years of investigative or regulatory experience; degree may substitute for experience.
• Ability to conduct interviews and document findings clearly.
• Experience writing chronological reports is preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and complex investigations at various business sites to verify workers’ compensation compliance.
• Issue and enforce stop-work orders and penalty assessments as required by law.
• Create and maintain investigative case files and timely enter data into CCAS.
• Advise employers on rights, responsibilities and obligations under workers’ compensation law.
