Job summary

Arizona Supreme Court seeks an investigator to manage complaints against licensed professionals, overseeing cases from intake to disposition. You will write investigative reports, present findings to regulatory boards, and testify at hearings while protecting the public and due process.

The role requires strong interviewing, research, and communication skills, with five years in judicial or regulatory investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, justice studies, behavioral or social sciences or related field.
• Five years’ experience in the judicial or legal systems or as an investigator for a regulatory agency.
• Strong written and oral communication, interviewing skills, and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the investigatory process from initial inquiry to final disposition for complaints against licensed professionals.
• Review cases with unit manager, in-house counsel, and board; recommend actions for resolution.
• Serve as initial contact with the public and judicial officers; respond to information requests; assist in policy/training development.
• May work in person for at least three months; remote work up to two days per week based on performance.
• Testify at administrative hearings and prepare charging documents and reports.
