Job summary

Jane Street is seeking a Regulatory Exam Manager to join our Legal and Compliance team in New York. You will oversee responses to regulatory examinations from start to finish, serving as the primary contact for regulators and coordinating across the firm to ensure clear, accurate, and timely submissions.

You will draft submissions, prepare colleagues for meetings with examiners, and identify process improvements while maintaining records. A bachelor’s degree is required; a JD is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal, compliance, or regulatory experience in financial services with focus on regulatory examinations.
• Direct experience with SEC, FINRA, or regulators at a bank, broker-dealer, or similar institution, or advisory experience as outside counsel.
• Excellent writer who translates complex info into precise, accessible responses.
• Polished communicator capable of building productive regulator relationships and handling challenging conversations.
• Knowledge of US financial regulatory framework and judgment to seek SME guidance when needed.
• Highly organized and deadline-driven with cross-firm collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree required; JD is a plus (not acting as lawyer in this role).
