Job summary

NextDecade seeks a Senior Regulatory Coordinator to secure regulatory approvals and ensure compliance for LNG projects. You will collaborate with multiple departments to establish strategies, procedures, and assurance processes addressing regulatory requirements, with a focus on FERC.

The role requires understanding federal FERC requirements and providing SME guidance across project lifecycles, including inspections and data-driven reporting. Houston-based, with travel up to ~15%.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience with FERC-regulated projects.
• Knowledge of federal/state regulatory agency compliance submittals.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional leadership, attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support FERC NEPA process for jurisdictional projects, including filings and reports.
• Serve as Subject Matter Expert for FERC-regulated projects.
• Assist in regulatory inspections during construction.
• Prepare reports for internal, external, and regulatory submissions.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines and contractors through project phases.
• Develop and prepare compliance documentation submittals to regulators.
• Analyze data and prepare management reports on regulatory compliance.
• Support development of implementation plan packages and data responses.
• Identify regulatory requirements during design and communicate schedule needs.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for timely regulatory reports.
• Monitor and audit compliance with permits and regulations.
