Job summary

NextDecade Corporation is seeking a Director, Regulatory to manage federal regulatory authorizations and agency relationships for LNG facility development and expansion. You will lead filings, strategy, and governance while partnering with Engineering, Construction, and Operations teams to implement regulatory commitments.

The role requires deep knowledge of FERC, PHMSA, USCG, and DOE requirements, plus leadership of multidisciplinary teams across complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Geology or a related field.
• Eight+ years of federal regulatory authorizations and agency relationships experience.
• Experience supporting LNG facility development, construction, commissioning, startup, or expansion projects.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams with LNG technical principles and project planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory filings, amendments, and agency approvals for LNG facilities.
• Serve as primary interface with FERC, PHMSA, USCG, DOE, and other agencies.
• Develop regulatory strategy, assess risk, and communicate requirements to leadership.
• Oversee regulatory governance, change management, and implementation of commitments.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Legal, Environment, and Project teams.
