Job summary

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

The Senior Regulatory Coordinator plays a crucial role in obtaining regulatory approvals and ensuring compliance. The primary purpose will be to work collaboratively with multiple departmental stakeholders to ensure strategies, procedures, and assurance processes are established to address compliance requirements. The Senior Regulatory Coordinator must understand the federal regulatory requirements for an LNG facility, specifically the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support FERC National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process for jurisdictional projects, including FERC filings, resource reports, and other NEPA documentation.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for FERC-regulated projects.
  • Assist in regulatory inspections related to compliance during construction activities.
  • Communicate and prepare reports for submittal internally, externally, to governmental agencies and customers.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate and work with multiple disciplines and contractors throughout all phases of a project.
  • Develop and prepare compliance documentation submittals to regulatory agencies.
  • Analyze data (including engineering deliverables) and prepare management reports on regulatory compliance records.
  • Support development of implementation plan packages and data request responses.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline departments to identify regulatory requirements during project design and communicate schedule requirements.
  • Coordinate with third party vendors to ensure timely and accurate regulatory reports.
  • Monitor, track, and audit to ensure regulatory compliance with permit conditions and all federal, state, and local regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with FERC-regulated projects.
  • Preferred experience with Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration and the U.S. Coast Guard regulation compliance.
  • Basic knowledge of federal/state regulatory agency compliance submittals and ability to resolve possible errors returned regarding specific data.
  • Must have strong written, verbal skills, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional leadership, attention to detail, organizational skills, and administrative abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Approximately 15% of travel will be required. Must be able to wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment to perform job functions. Operate in a complex construction environment. Exposure to indoor and outdoor weather conditions. Not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes. Possible exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and electrical circuits. Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds of a pitch level sufficient to cause marked distraction. Routinely uses standard office and field communications equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers w/scanner and fax, and radios. Able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations: Ability to drive to other Company work locations as required. Ability to move throughout all areas of the facility, including being physically capable of traveling to a designed muster point during emergency situations. Stand and/or sit continuously and perform job functions for a full shift. The incumbent is required to have fully mechanical motion and usage of all extremities. Physically able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and lift items weighing up to 20 lbs. without assistance. Visual acuity corrected to perform job functions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to clearly communicate with others via radio, phone, and verbal methods. May be required to enter confined spaces. May be required to work at elevated heights and access elevated structures without assistance.
