Job summary

Navitus Health Solutions is seeking a Sr. Staff Attorney to join our Regulatory team. The role involves drafting legal documents, managing templates and records, performing research, and preparing correspondence under limited supervision.

The Sr. Staff Attorney will support the Chief Legal Officer and Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory, and contribute to legal counsel regarding business objectives and policy compliance. Remote work is available for eligible locations.

Qualifications

• Completion of a law degree through an accredited program.
• License to practice law in Wisconsin preferred.
• 5 years of experience working in legal required.
• Participation in, adherence to, and support of compliance program objectives.

Responsibilities

• Imparts the philosophy, values, mission and vision of Navitus and SSM Health and facilitates the integration of values in CQI activities.
• Understands, embraces, and practices the principles of CQI.
• Prepares additional legal documents, such as memorandums and correspondence.
• Inform the development of new Navitus initiatives from a legal perspective and provide guidance on legal issues that help shape the organization's direction and impact as a whole.
• Provides legal counsel to Navitus' staff members on the implications of their business objectives and ensure that all staff are informed of applicable policies and practices.
• Researches and analyzes statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, contracts, and legal codes.
• Files legal documents and correspondence in digital and physical filing systems.
• Develops processes for the effective indexing and filing of legal documents and managing contracts.
• Other duties as assigned
