Job summary

Covista is seeking a Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs to translate complex regulatory developments into practical guidance across Covista institutions. You will lead strategy, monitor federal and state requirements, and partner with senior leaders to ensure compliant execution of regulatory initiatives.

You will manage a Strategy and Research team, develop implementation plans, and help shape regulatory readiness across the company.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in regulatory assurance, compliance or licensing.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with U.S. Department of Education regulations, Title IV, federal rulemaking, accreditation, or multi-institutional operations preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Familiar with standards and requirements of multiple state authorizing agencies and institutional/accreditors.
  • Ability to establish and develop positive relationships with senior leaders and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking to decipher regulatory requirements that may not be explicit.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory interpretation, consultation, and practical guidance regarding complex requirements; respond to inquiries, projects, and initiatives promptly.
  • Participate in strategic planning to advise management on growth, changes, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Serve on cross-functional teams to support compliance with federal, state, and accreditor requirements.
  • Develop regulatory guidance, procedures, training, and resources to support compliance and consistency.
  • Identify regulatory risks and opportunities; recommend practical solutions and standards.
  • Review communications to promote regulatory accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct research and environmental scans on federal, state, accreditor matters; assess impacts and implementation requirements.
  • Analyze regulatory developments and prepare summaries, reports, and presentations for leadership.
  • Maintain monitoring frameworks and reporting tools for timely communication of developments.
  • Provide leadership and coaching for Strategy and Research personnel.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
