Job summary

Fort Valley State University invites applications for the University Registrar, the senior leader of the Office of the Registrar, reporting to the Provost. Responsible for student records, enrollment, course scheduling, and veteran certification.

This role supervises staff, ensures compliance with AACRAO, FERPA, and government regulations, and partners with IT for SIS systems including Banner and Degree Works.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in any field; higher education background preferred.
• At least five years of senior management in a registrar's office.
• Deep knowledge of academic policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Experience applying technology to SIS, CRM systems, and related functions.
• Strong data reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee student records, registration management, and FERPA compliance.
• Conduct degree audits and oversee graduation certification.
• Coordinate course scheduling and publication of offerings.
• Interpret and enforce academic policies and catalog updates.
• Lead technology integration for student information systems and Banner.
• Represent Registrar's Office in committees and cross-department collaboration.
• Ensure accurate data reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Supervise staff including VA Certifying Official.
