Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience required.
• Current, valid RN license in Texas or Compact RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care with the health care team.
• Assess patients using the nursing process and develop an individualized plan of care.
• Delegate interventions to staff per the Texas Nursing Practice Act.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Serve as a preceptor or trainer for newer nursing staff and rotate as Charge Nurse.
• Provide patient education to patients and families.
