Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a Service Tech 6 - Refrigeration to troubleshoot, maintain and repair commercial refrigeration systems across multiple client sites. The role requires guiding junior technicians and ensuring safe, efficient operation of complex equipment.

You will work on compressors, ice machines, condensers and related HVAC/R equipment, applying preventative maintenance, diagnostics and hands-on repairs while observing safety standards and corporate CARES values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and EPA certificate.
• 6+ years of experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical fields preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and equipment knowledge across refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time as scheduled.
• Repair and overhaul refrigeration equipment (compressors, pumps, air handlers, controls).
• Test malfunctioning systems using electrical/mechanical skills.
• Maintain legible work records and service history.
• Provide repair work on HVAC/R equipment including ice machines and condensers.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment efficiency issues.
• Assist in startups of new installations and minor construction work.
• Demonstrate safety PPE usage and uphold COOLSys CARES culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
