Job summary

Composition Brands is seeking a Staff / Lead Engineer in Greenville, MI to serve as the primary technical integrator and system architect for refrigeration platforms. This role establishes engineering standards, sets verification and validation strategies, and drives design-for-robustness across Marvel, U‑Line, and Viking brands.

The Staff / Lead Engineer provides the highest level of technical leadership for refrigeration platform development, guiding architecture, reliability, supplier

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Sciences or HVAC-R.
• Experience: 8+ years leading thermal/refrigeration projects, or 6+ with a relevant master's.
• Technical Skills: Thermodynamic cycles, system‑level V&V, SolidWorks/PDM, ERP, DFSS, NPI governance.

Responsibilities

• Establish multi-year platform architectures and roadmaps for refrigeration systems.
• Author system-level V&V strategies and oversee testing matrices for extreme conditions.
• Set standards for DFSS, DFM, DFA, DFMEA and 3D tolerance stack-up processes.
• Lead root-cause investigations and implement permanent countermeasures for complex failures.
• Evaluate components with Procurement/Quality and optimize tooling capability.
• Serve as top technical authority in Technical Design Reviews and mentor engineers.
