Composition Brands, including U-Line, Marvel, and Viking Refrigeration, seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to support premium refrigeration product lines and drive operational excellence across brands.

You will lead process development, coordinate with engineering, operations, and quality, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve throughput, quality, and cost efficiency in a hands-on, fast-paced environment in Greenville, MI.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in fast-paced assembly or production environment.
• Hands-on with the ability to function in an assembly environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent written and verbal communication between departments.
• 3D CAD modeling capabilities, SolidWorks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee manufacturing engineering initiatives supporting production, process improvement, and operational excellence across the facility.
• Direct development, implementation, and maintenance of standardized work instructions and process controls.
• Coordinate production staff training and partner with Quality, Engineering, and Operations.
• Act as manufacturing lead for new product introductions, ECNs, and launches.
• Evaluate processes, implement continuous improvement to increase productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
• Lead fabrication equipment transitions, new equipment installations, process validation, and optimization.
• Collaborate with Plant Leadership, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Perform time studies and analyze labor and production efficiencies to improve throughput and staffing.
• Oversee ECNs communications and timely execution throughout the plant.
• Support new product development by validating manufacturability and piloting production.
• Develop capital equipment plans and lead procurement, installation, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and reliability initiatives with Maintenance and Engineering.
• Oversee purchasing of tooling, equipment, fixtures, and production supplies within budgets.
