Job summary

ColonialWebb Contractors Company is seeking an experienced lead refrigeration technician to diagnose, repair, and optimize industrial ammonia, cascade, and rack systems in commercial settings. You’ll mentor junior technicians, coordinate service activities, and build strong client relationships while upholding safety standards.

Strong independence, advanced troubleshooting, and a track record of major repairs and compressor rebuilds are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive industrial refrigeration experience, esp. ammonia, cascade, rack systems.
• EPA Certification required; RETA Course I & II; additional RETA certifications preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Lead major repairs, overhauls, and compressor rebuilds while maintaining safety.
• Mentor technicians and promote best practices.
• Coordinate service activities and maintain accurate documentation, including emergency service support.

• Serve as the lead technical expert diagnosing and resolving complex industrial refrigeration issues with minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and optimize ammonia, cascade, rack, compressor, and control systems to maximize reliability and performance.
• Lead major repairs, overhauls, and compressor rebuilds while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Build strong customer relationships by providing technical recommendations and serving as a trusted advisor.
• Mentor and support less experienced technicians, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices.
• Coordinate service activities, maintain accurate documentation, and support emergency service needs as required.

What You Will Do

What We Are Looking For

• Extensive industrial refrigeration experience with advanced troubleshooting skills in ammonia, cascade, and rack systems.
• Strong expertise with evaporative condensers, large control systems, complex electrical controls, and compressor rebuilds.
• EPA Certification required; RETA Course I & II certifications required, with additional RETA certifications preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of IIAR, RETA, OSHA, and applicable industry safety standards.
• Proven ability to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience mentoring technicians and serving as a technical resource for customers and team members preferred.
