Job summary

CoolSys is seeking a Service Tech 4 - Refrigeration to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair commercial refrigeration systems across convenience stores and supermarkets. You will diagnose equipment issues, perform preventive maintenance, and help junior technicians, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

The role requires 3-5 years of HVAC/refrigeration experience, a high school diploma or GED, a valid EPA certificate, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and trade/technical school classes.
• Tech Skills level 4 with 80% or better.
• Valid EPA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Report to work on time as scheduled.
• Repair and overhaul refrigeration equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and control devices.
• Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
• Maintain legible records of work history.
• Provide preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
• Assist junior technicians and participate in start-ups of new installations.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
