Job summary

FRY is seeking a Facility Engineering Refrigeration HVAC Tech 4 in Prescott, AZ to maintain and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems across assigned stores. You will drive to stores daily, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues and replace compressors or motors as needed.

Document repairs and parts usage in a timely fashion. The role requires 5–7 years of refrigeration/HVAC experience, EPA Type 2 certification, supervisory experience, and flexibility to work nights, weekends and

Qualifications

• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Advanced technical training or related technical certifications.
• Supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5-7 years' proven refrigeration/HVAC experience and satisfactory overall performance.
• EPA Type 2 Certification.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use control manufacturers' software.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and overtime when necessary.
• Demonstrated mentoring and training experience.

Responsibilities

• Drive independently to stores on a daily basis as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and procedures, including audits.
• Perform repairs to systems.
• Navigate and investigate electronic controls interfaces.
• Assist with and perform various preventive maintenance tasks and procedures to buildings and equipment.
• Troubleshoot issues and repair equipment.
• Perform compressor, large motor and component replacement.
• Maintain an accurate and organized inventory of parts.
• Operate equipment, vehicles, powered industrial trucks and aerial lifts safely.
• Report and document repairs and parts usage in a timely fashion.
• Follow department policies and procedures.
• Provide input to supervisor and management towards maintenance best practices.
• Mentor and train other technicians.
