Job summary

Americold is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the warehouse, including doors, dock equipment, and HVAC systems, under general supervision.

You will inspect, test, and repair electrical, plumbing, sprinkler systems, and carpentry tasks, while maintaining preventive maintenance records and complying with OSHA standards. Flexibility for on-call shifts and working in cold storage is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial or facilities maintenance experience, or equivalent technical certification.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, sprinkler systems, and carpentry.
• Knowledge of maintenance equipment and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on doors, dock levelers, freezer doors, sprinkler systems, and HVAC systems.
• Inspect safety equipment and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Test equipment performance using voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain preventive maintenance records.
• Respond to on-call and security alarm calls as needed.
• Work on grounds including snow removal, painting, and paving repairs.
