Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, seeks a Process Technical Specialist to act as the refinery and enterprise technical authority for assigned process technologies. You will provide leadership, mentoring, and proactive unit health monitoring across multiple sites, translating technical insights into measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities include guiding capital projects, turnarounds, catalyst management, and technology stewardship while collaborating with site

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of technical experience in the refining industry.
• Experience applying engineering fundamentals to refinery operations, troubleshooting, optimization, and technical decision-making.
• Experience leading complex technical evaluations with cross-functional and multi-site teams.
• Ability to communicate technical recommendations clearly and influence decisions without relying solely on formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across assigned technologies and facilities.
• Lead resolution of complex, high-impact, cross-functional issues using engineering analysis, modeling, and root cause investigations.
• Establish KPIs, benchmarks, operating envelopes, and improvement targets; identify performance gaps and optimization opportunities.
• Develop and maintain technology standards, best practices, and operating guidelines; evaluate emerging technologies for adoption or standardization.
• Support capital projects, revamps, debottlenecking, and turnarounds; participate in startup planning and post-implementation evaluations.
• Develop training programs to strengthen organizational capability and support onboarding of engineers and technical personnel.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Projects, Process Safety, Commercial, and Leadership teams; support site visits for troubleshooting and verification.
