Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation seeks a Process Technical Specialist to serve as the refinery and enterprise SME for assigned process technologies. You will provide technical leadership, model-based analysis, and proactive guidance across multiple sites to improve safety, reliability, and economic performance.

The role requires at least a decade of refinery experience, strong communication, and the ability to mentor engineers while advancing technology stewardship and standardization across operations

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of technical experience in refining.
• Experience applying engineering fundamentals to refinery operations, troubleshooting, optimization, reliability, and technical decision-making.
• Experience leading complex technical evaluations with cross-functional teams.
• Strong ability to communicate recommendations and influence decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and cross-functional problem resolution across facilities.
• Establish KPIs, operating envelopes, improvement targets, and performance monitoring.
• Support capital projects, debottlenecking, upgrades, reliability initiatives, and turnarounds.
• Lead catalyst and chemical selection, optimization, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, safety, projects, and commercial teams.
• Create training, mentoring, and technical guidance materials.
