Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Red Team Engineer to identify wrong assumptions and unmodeled failure modes across space, missiles, air, and autonomy. This role blends hands-on system-building with adversarial analysis to influence decisions before deployment.

You will embed with Systems, GNC, Software, Hardware, Mission Operations, and Test Engineering, reconciling analyses across domains to stress-test trade studies and deliver rigorous guidance for mission success.

Qualifications

• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Hands-on track record of designing/building and analyzing real engineering systems, not just analysis.
• Proven ability to find problems others miss through adversarial review or independent verification.
• Demonstrated ownership and delivery of deliverables with minimal management.
• Proficiency in physics-math scripting (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Python + numpy/scipy).
• Strong engineering background in Aerospace, Dynamics & Controls, GNC, Systems, or similar.
• Outstanding communication skills with the ability to present data visually.

Responsibilities

• Independently execute red-team designs, models, and analyses across programs.
• Hunt failure modes, surface hidden assumptions, and pressure-test trade studies.
• Contribute to models and simulations to prove or break a claim, often developing tooling.
• Reconstruct and verify others’ work; find errors others missed.
• Collaborate with Systems, GNC, Software, Hardware, Mission Ops, and Test teams.
• Translate findings into clear, actionable guidance to improve design.
• Bring hands-on systems-building to catch problems in analysis, not in flight.
• Communicate complex results with strong visual presentation to engineers and leaders.
