Job summary

The position requires at least one year in extrusion and strong mechanical aptitude, with experience using pulverizers and plastics processing equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year extrusion experience; plastic extrusion preferred.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting industrial equipment.
• Ability to monitor and adjust process parameters for quality and production.
• Experience with pulverizers, shredding, grinding, or plastics processing preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor recycling and processing equipment independently.
• Support extrusion, melt-blending, and pelletizing processes with real-time adjustments.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues and involve maintenance when needed.
• Minimize downtime with effective first-response troubleshooting.
• Complete batching, material staging, and documentation accurately.
• Follow safety protocols, SOPs, and LOTO procedures.
• Communicate across shifts with Production, Quality, and Maintenance.
• Provide training support and act as a resource for Operator I staff.
