Responsibilities
- Business Development
- Establish an effective sales plan including target clients
- Use database and recruitment systems effectively to plan business development activity
- Source, follow up, and pass on all leads to colleagues promptly
- Demonstrate excellent relationship building, sales, and service skills
- Represent self and Stott and May professionally in all dealings with existing and potential clients
- Meet marketing call and client meeting targets and achieve planned outcomes
- Support manager or managing consultant in driving team business development initiatives, where relevant
Job and Client Management
- Demonstrate excellent consulting skills by questioning clients to understand needs and presenting appropriate solutions
- Provide expert advice and recommendations promptly, demonstrating urgency
- Manage client expectations aligned with market conditions and principles of equality, diversity, and inclusion
- Present an action plan to clients and obtain exclusive roles where appropriate
- Ensure Terms of Business are presented and agreed upon with clients
- Negotiate effectively with clients
Candidate Management
- Build rapport with candidates on every call
- Use database and recruitment systems to source candidates effectively
- Utilize a broad range of candidate attraction strategies, including LinkedIn and websites
- Assess and validate candidate skills through interviews and references
- Manage candidate information accurately and timely in systems
- Manage candidate expectations and advise accurately on the market, salaries, and conditions
- Proactively market candidates to suitable clients and establish action plans
- Represent candidates effectively to clients via various communication methods
- Provide timely feedback to candidates
- Uphold principles of equal employment opportunity
- Represent self and Stott and May professionally in all candidate dealings
- Maintain process control and gain leads through qualification
- Escalate candidate issues or disputes to management
