Company: AB Energy USA LLC

Location

WHY YOU WOULD CHOOSE AB

At AB, we work in a multicultural environment with more than 1,500 employees across offices in 22 countries throughout Europe, North America, and South America. We are committed to building a more sustainable future together with our partners and to creating a recruiting process that respects diversity and equity and is free from prejudice and discrimination.

Sustainability is not only our core business, but also part of how we work. Our technologies and software help streamline the selection process, keep applications current, and support a transparent candidate experience built on mutual understanding. Candidates can share their professional and personal ambitions, while our Talent Acquisition team connects those goals with opportunities across the company.

YOUR CHALLENGES

Reporting to the HR Director, North America, the Senior Recruiter will manage the full recruitment lifecycle across the organization. You will partner with hiring managers and HR leadership to define talent needs, develop sourcing strategies, attract qualified candidates, and provide a professional candidate experience. You will also build pipelines for critical and recurring positions through recruitment campaigns, direct sourcing, job fairs, educational and workforce partnerships, and a trusted network of external recruiting providers.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage assigned requisitions from intake and sourcing through candidate selection and accepted offer.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, search strategy, interview process, hiring priorities, and realistic timelines.
  • Review job descriptions; post positions; source and screen candidates; and assess qualifications, compensation expectations, work authorization, availability, and overall alignment.
  • Present qualified candidates, coordinate interviews, gather feedback, facilitate timely selection decisions, and maintain accurate applicant tracking system records.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies for professional, technical, operational, skilled-trade, field-service, and difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Identify and engage active and passive candidates through direct sourcing, networking, referrals, recruiting platforms, and other appropriate channels.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines and communities for recurring and anticipated hiring needs.
  • Develop and execute targeted recruitment campaigns for high-volume, technical, field, skilled-trade, and difficult-to-fill needs.
  • Partner with HR and Marketing, as appropriate, to create recruitment messaging and materials that communicate AB’s opportunities and value proposition.
  • Identify, coordinate, and represent AB at job fairs, career fairs, hiring events, trade events, and community recruiting opportunities.
  • Build sustainable relationships with technical and trade schools, colleges, universities, workforce organizations, professional groups, and industry associations.
  • Build and maintain a trusted network of staffing agencies, specialized search firms, temporary staffing providers, RPO partners, and other external recruiting resources.
  • Evaluate external partners based on candidate quality, responsiveness, expertise, service, hiring results, and overall value, while minimizing duplicate submissions and unnecessary costs.
  • Serve as a talent acquisition partner to hiring managers by providing guidance on candidate availability, market conditions, search strategy, and realistic hiring parameters.
  • Provide regular requisition updates, identify challenges early, and recommend alternative sourcing approaches when requirements or compensation affect candidate attraction.
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers to prepare and secure approval for offers within established compensation guidelines.
  • Present offers, manage candidate questions and negotiations, escalated requested exceptions, and maintain engagement through acceptance.
  • Provide a complete handoff of accepted candidates to the HR Administrator for background screening, pre-employment requirements, and onboarding.
  • Provide a professional, responsive, and consistent candidate experience and represent AB professionally during candidate interactions, recruiting events, and external networking.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting data and monitor metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, agency utilization, pipeline activity, and hiring outcomes.
  • Partner with the HR Director and business leaders to understand anticipated workforce needs and support recruitment planning for growth, new locations, projects, and business expansion.

WHY WE WOULD CHOOSE YOU

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; preferred.
  • You have at least 5 years of progressive full-cycle recruiting or talent acquisition experience, including independent management from sourcing through offer acceptance.
  • You have experience recruiting for technical, engineering, skilled-trade, field-service, operations, or other specialized positions; strongly preferred.
  • You have experience developing proactive pipelines, direct-sourcing strategies, and relationships with external recruiting providers.
  • You have experience with job fairs, school partnerships, talent outreach, or high-volume and growth environments; preferred.
  • You demonstrate strong full-cycle recruiting, direct-sourcing, interviewing, and candidate-assessment capabilities.
  • You have excellent relationship-building, stakeholder-management, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • You can advise hiring managers credibly and develop creative sourcing approaches for difficult-to-fill positions.
  • You bring strong organization, initiative, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently with urgency.
  • You have strong networking skills and can develop external talent partnerships and represent the company professionally.
  • You are proficient with applicant tracking systems, recruiting platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and confidential information management.
  • You are available to travel locally and occasionally for recruiting events, career fairs, schools, or other business needs.
Success in this position will be demonstrated through
  • Strong candidate pipelines and timely progression of qualified candidates.
  • Effective hiring-manager partnerships and positive candidate experiences.
  • Productive relationships with schools, workforce organizations, industry groups, and external recruiting providers.
  • Recruitment campaigns and sourcing strategies that produce qualified candidates.
  • Responsible use of agencies and recruiting resources, supported by accurate data and meaningful reporting.
  • The ability to anticipate hiring needs and build pipelines before positions become urgent.
