Job summary

The SR Group in New York is seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter to join our Contract Team. This 360-recruitment role focuses on developing client relationships, managing search assignments, and delivering talent solutions across the legal market, with potential focus on law firms, in-house legal teams, or financial services legal recruitment.

You will own the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle from business development to placement, source and assess candidates, and build a network of contract

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years in agency recruitment, staffing or executive search.
• Experience recruiting within legal, professional services, accounting & finance, healthcare, technology, or another contract staffing environment.
• Demonstrated success in a 360 recruitment role, including business development, client management, and candidate delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from business development through placement and consultant management.
• Build and maintain relationships with law firms, corporate legal departments, and legal professionals across the contract market.
• Win new contract and interim assignments while growing existing client partnerships.
• Source, assess, and manage candidates through the interview, offer, onboarding, and placement process.
• Recruit for a variety of contract legal positions, including attorneys, paralegals, legal operations professionals, compliance specialists, and legal support staff.
• Develop and maintain a strong network of contract legal talent.
• Provide clients and candidates with market insights, compensation guidance, and hiring advice.
• Manage consultant relationships throughout assignments, including extensions, redeployments, and retention efforts.
• Deliver against revenue, activity, and placement goals.
• Contribute to the continued growth of the Taylor Root Contracts business through collaboration and market expertise.

About You

• 5-8+ years of successful experience in agency recruitment, staffing, or executive search.
• Experience recruiting within legal, professional services, accounting & finance, healthcare, technology, or another contract staffing environment.
• Demonstrated success in a 360 recruitment role, including business development, client management, and candidate delivery.
• Experience placing contract, interim, temporary, or contract-to-hire professionals is highly preferred.
• Strong relationship-building, networking, and consultative sales skills.
• Commercially minded with a proactive and entrepreneurial approach.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment while delivering a high-touch candidate and client experience.
• Passionate about building long-term client and consultant relationships.
