Job summary

City of Richmond, Virginia, is seeking a Recreation Program Instructor, Senior to support the Recreation Division. You will partner with center staff to plan, implement, and evaluate programs and events, ensuring quality service and safety for participants and the community.

The role reports to the Recreation Center Supervisor and collaborates with staff and partners to ensure smooth operations, high customer satisfaction, and successful program delivery within the city facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in parks and recreation or business administration.
• Two years of paraprofessional recreation program experience.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may meet qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, lead, and evaluate recreational, athletic, leisure, and social programs and events.
• Enforce safety rules, standards, and procedures.
• Resolve disputes and provide guidance to participants.
• Consult with parents, coaches, teachers, volunteers, participants, and community members.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility and grounds.
• Assist with communication and promotion of programs and events.
