Job summary

PATH Recreation & Fitness Center in Culpeper, VA seeks a Program Instructor to develop and lead recreational and educational programs. You’ll inspire participants, introduce new activities, and help build confidence while ensuring a welcoming environment.

You’ll promote healthy lifestyles, engage with diverse groups, and manage registrations, records, and program details alongside a collaborative team.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Experience facilitating group activities is a plus.
CPR/AED certification may be required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Plan and lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate activities.
Create programming supporting participants’ social, emotional, and physical well-being.
Engage with participants to foster a positive, inclusive environment.
Facilitate and supervise group activities with safety and fun in mind.
Assist with program registration, attendance, and participant records.
Build relationships with participants, members, guests, and families.
Answer questions and provide timely follow-up.
Stay informed about classes, programs, and events at the center.
Help keep spaces, equipment, and areas clean and ready for use.
Collaborate with team members to support programs and events.
