Job summary

City of Annapolis is seeking a Recreation Leader II to provide a safe and engaging environment for community programs, youth activities and special events. You will plan, supervise and instruct activities, assist the Recreation Program Supervisor, and lead volunteers as needed.

Responsibilities include coordinating programs at community centers, ensuring compliance with policies, maintaining records, and promoting quality customer service while working with diverse age groups.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED with some college coursework in Recreation Administration.
• Two (2) years of related experience leading youth recreational programs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and instruct community recreational activities and youth programs.
• Assist the Recreation Program Supervisor with assigned programs.
• Coordinate volunteers and supervise activities; assist with setup and breakdown as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures and safety standards; maintain records and prepare reports.
