Northern Trust is seeking a skilled Reconciliation Specialist. You will perform daily reconciliation of transactions and positions across equities, corporate bonds, CMOs, TBAs, and other securities, analyze differences, and coordinate break resolution between clients and internal teams.

You will manage the handoff between India and Chicago reconciliation teams, support onboarding of new client accounts, and help drive operational efficiency and stronger controls.

Qualifications

• College or university degree and/or relevant professional experience preferred.
• Relevant industry qualification, such as ACCA, preferred.
• Experience with securities reconciliation, cash and position breaks, and operational controls preferred.
• Experience working across multiple teams, locations, and business functions is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Perform daily reconciliation of transactions and positions across equities, corporate bonds, CMOs, TBAs, pools, bank loans, and private securities.
• Analyze and resolve security and cash position differences identified through the reconciliation process.
• Coordinate break resolution between clients, internal operations teams, and custodian banks.
• Manage the handoff between India and Chicago reconciliation teams and follow up on outstanding issues.
• Partner with the Implementation team to ensure seamless onboarding and setup of new client accounts.
• Perform daily reviews of reconciliations and execute required controls.
• Support projects focused on increasing operational efficiency and strengthening the control environment.
• Operate independently with in-depth knowledge of the business, function, and related processes.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing in-depth technical guidance, consultation, and leadership to team members and business partners.
