Job summary

IMS in Riverside, CA is seeking a Receiving Inspector to perform detailed dimensional and visual inspections of critical parts, assemblies, and raw materials. You will document inspection findings, produce required reports, and determine acceptance or rejection.

The role requires strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and prior experience in a shipping/receiving environment. Knowledge of Excel and inventory systems is essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of senior or lead experience in stores, logistics, and inventory.
• 4+ years in first/in-process and/or final material inspection.
• 4+ years in shipping/receiving or material handling.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and basic data entry systems.
• Experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming shipments with cross-functional teams; identify discrepancies or damage and take action.
• Verify contents against purchase orders, packing docs, and inspection checklist.
• Use basic measuring tools to validate measurements of incoming products.
• Identify and document Material Non-Conformances and maintain quality records.
• Receive items into the inventory management system with correct condition codes.
• Maintain knowledge of stock locations and chain of custody.
• Perform stocking, cycle counts, and labeling of products.
• Collaborate with Materials, Maintenance, Purchasing, and Quality teams.
